We meet each week from Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. We have two semesters. First Semester begins the Tuesday after Labor Day and concludes just before Christmas.
Second Semester begin the 2nd week of January and concludes with Graduation Celebration the 3rd Saturday in May.
Kurt is a great teacher and God has given him a wonderful revelation about the book of beginnings, Genesis.
This week will be the first full week of school as we dig into the New Testament book of Colossians. Pastor Bill Roberts has been a long-time teacher at NLSOM and has just retired from being the Founding Pastor of Christ Fellowship Church in Knightstown, IN. Pastor Bill is moving to France this fall to begin serving there.
Our first week will welcome our new students to NLSOM and welcome back our 2nd year students. Pastor Johnny Cawthon, Molly Estabrook, Julie Dale, Pastor Bill Roberts, Cassandra Rudolph and Jana Smith will all be doing presentations. We will have serious sessions and some fun ones too. We will eat together, worship and journal together and enjoy Jesus presence!
New Life School of Ministry begins our new school year, September 6th, the day after Labor Day. We are excited to welcome a new class of future radical, global disciples. We are also elated to have our 2nd year students coming back for their final year. This year, we say "Goodbye" to Julie Dale as our Director but she will still be teaching and involved during the school year. We are grateful for Molly Estabrook on our Team and we are ecstatic about our two new interns from last year's graduating class: Cassandra Rudolph and Jana Smith.
This will be our 3rd years to travel to the Kalmykia Republic in southern Russia. We have developed many new friends there and love the Kalmyk people. Pray with us for the rest of our funds we need for the trip (about $3000) and for the effectiveness of our time as we serve in Kalmykia. Please pray also for all our visa and travel connections and health for our team of 10.
This 2015-2016 Academic Year will culminate with Graduation. We will have 4 graduates this year and a 5th student will receive his transcript. We are so thankful for these Radical Global Disciples of Jesus Christ.
Our Founding Directors for NLSOM will be with us for a month. They are such anointed and gifted teachers and with so many new stories and adventures to share. They have just returned from several nations and have a great perspective to share with our students.
Reuven and Yanit Ross (of Making Disciples International) are American-born and have lived abroad for over 30 years. They have been part of the leadership team at Carmel Assembly in Haifa and King of Kings Community:Jerusalem in Israel, and at Shalom Ministries in South Africa. Reuven and Yanit teach nationally and internationally on disciple making, leadership, and biblical counseling. At NLSOM: Feb 29-March 1-3.
Mike Burnard will be teaching at NLSOM Monday - Wednesday, Feb. 15-17, 2016. Worship begins @ 8 a.m. Monday and Wednesday and Mike will speak from 9:30-12:30 each of these days. Tuesday we will also host ReNET, Mike will teach at 8-9:30, Worship will be at 9:30-10 and then Mike will continue to speak from 10:15 until 12:30.
After a very successful and busy first semester, our students and staff are able to take a couple weeks off to be with family and enjoy the holidays. School begins again on January 4, 2016.
NLSOM Classes will begin earlier this year because of the way Labor Day falls so much later than usual (09/07/15). All our students are encouraged to be at class by 7:45 a.m. so we can begin promptly @ 8 a.m. We are very excited about this year's students and schedule.
